Artwork Registry & Authentication

Where do you register your artwork?

My Art Registry registers all Kayur's original photography, artwork, and any limited edition prints.

Will you provide a Certificate of Authenticity with my artwork?

All collectors receive a Certificate of Authenticity for Kayur's photography and artwork and the owner of a limited edition print, which confirms through a hologram system carrying a unique number that it is authentic and original work. For each limited printed edition you purchase, you will receive a set of 2 holograms; one for the reverse side of the artwork and one for the Certificate of Authenticity. The Certificate of Authenticity has been designed and provided to protect your limited edition print and artwork's security and genuineness and reduce the risk of forgery.

Do I need to register my artwork?

That is part of our customer service, and you need not register your artwork.

Printing

What is Giclée fine art printing?

If you are an art collector, you may already know that Giclée fine art printing is the gold standard for producing museum-level quality prints. The term connotes an artwork, a photograph, or a digitally produced work reproduced on an inkjet printer.

But what exactly is it? Giclée is a blend of French words; "gicleur," a technical term for a nozzle or jet, and "gicler" to spray out; the term — pronounced gee-klay — was initially coined by printmaker Jack Duganne in 1991.

Today, the use describes fine art printing using UV-resistant pigment-based archival quality inks manufactured on advanced inkjet printers. The nozzles of an inkjet printer spray a pattern of very fine drops onto the paper that later form the picture. Compared to other print technologies, Giclée printers create greater depth and richness to the final print, which helps create stunning vibrant artwork.

What are the types of paper and surfaces for printing?

All of Kayur's original photography prints are on world-renowned Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Ultra Smooth, 308gsm.

Made from 100% white cotton with its distinctive smooth and chalky feel, Kayur has carefully chosen to print his original photography on this paper, as it boasts a lightly defined felt structure and a very finely texture surface. As a result, each piece of artwork has a three-dimensional appearance and impressive pictorial depth. In addition, this paper's matt premium inkjet coating produces phenomenal age-resistant prints with brilliant colors, deep blacks, striking contrasts, and expert detail reproduction.

Indeed the valid reason why Kayur has chosen to print his photography on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Ultra Smooth, 308gsm, is for potential centuries of stability, ensuring that many generations can enjoy a given piece - visually retained just as he prepared it.

Frames

Are your prints supplied with a frame, or do you provide a framing service?

Unfortunately, the frame is neither included nor do we offer the framing service for the artwork at this time

We recommend framing artwork according to your taste and the room's interior design you plan to install. It also involves you in the creative process. Choosing your frame allows you to put a personal touch on the artwork you have purchased, making it even more precious. It also gives you the freedom to choose how much to spend on the frame and whether you want to use an antique or modern frame. You can also streamline it with your environment.

We highly recommend that you contact a professional/certified picture framer to help you create a beautiful custom-made frame to house your artwork.

Product Care

Are there any care instructions for the images?

We recommend extra care when handling your artwork due to the delicacy of printed paper/surface.

Wherever possible, do not touch any area of the pigment ink on the artwork (yes, even with wearing gloves), though wearing gloves is still a good idea but only handle your prints at the margin where there is no pigment. The alternative recommendation is to hold it with clean hands in a cool, dry environment.

Your best chance at achieving a long life for your print is keeping it dry, cool, and out of direct sunlight. Big swings in temperature and humidity aren't good so avoid them if you can.

You can also spray your print with a clear protective spray such as Hahnemuhle Protective Spray for extra protection. This is super easy to apply, invisible seals the printed surface, and gives at least some additional protection against dirt, fingerprints, moisture, and UV light.

We recommend framing our images behind glass or perspex, which provides the ultimate physical protection for it. But be sure to discuss archival options with your framer before doing so, as cheaper quality frames often include non-archival glue/acids that can damage your print over time.
