GAUMATA
Within Hindu tradition, cows are considered to be an earthly embodiment of the divine bovine-deity, Gaumata is the ‘Mother of all Cows’. In ancient scripture, it is narrated that she emerged from the churning of the cosmic ocean
Gaumata is the ever-giving nourisher, providing for all and sustaining the lifetime of all creatures; epitomising humility. Always giving, without complaining and expectation.
Reciprocally the best part of humanity receives numerous things from Gaumata, most notably her milk that provides a serious source of nourishment, hence she is often referred to as 'Mother Earth'
A piece of work created to inspire you to venerate the cows of our earth, develop her qualities and adopt a life of non-violent generosity
